Privacy Policy

How Nova handles your personal data and protects your privacy.

1. Data controller

The data controller is INVERSIONES NOVA GROUP EDTECH S.A.C. (hereinafter, "Nova"), identified with RUC 20611321091, Lima, Peru. For any questions about this policy or to exercise your rights, write to hola@novaacademy.com.

2. Scope and acceptance

This policy applies to the personal data Nova collects through its website (novaacademy.com), its contact forms, and the provision of its training, advisory, consulting, and AI outsourcing services.

By providing your data through the Site or by contracting our services, you declare that you have read and understood this policy and that you authorize the processing of your data as described herein.

3. Personal data we process

We only process data necessary for the purposes described. Depending on the case, these may be:

  • Contact data (web form): full name, corporate email, mobile number, company, and the content of the message you send us.
  • Customer and participant data: within a contracted service, professional and contact data, as well as information associated with the training, evaluation, and certification of participants.
  • Browsing data: technical information generated when using the Site, such as IP address, device and browser type, and analytics and cookie data (see section 12).

We do not request sensitive data through the Site. Please do not include sensitive information in the message field.

4. Purposes of processing

Nova processes your personal data to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and contact requests, and schedule meetings.
  • Prepare and send commercial proposals, and manage the contractual relationship.
  • Provide the contracted services, including the execution of training programs and the issuance of certifications.
  • Issue payment receipts and comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
  • Send you information about Nova services, content, and events, when you have given your consent.
  • Improve the Site, measure its use, and ensure its security.

5. Consent and legal basis

The processing of your data is based on the consent you give when sending it, as well as on the execution of the contractual relationship and compliance with legal obligations, as applicable.

Consent is free, prior, express, and informed. You may withdraw it at any time by writing to hola@novaacademy.com, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before withdrawal.

6. Personal database

The data we collect is stored in personal databases owned by Nova, managed in accordance with Law No. 29733 and its Regulations, and registered with the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (ANPD) when applicable.

7. Retention period

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and any applicable legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

8. Processors and third parties

To operate, Nova may rely on providers acting as data processors —for example, email, web hosting, cloud storage, commercial management, analytics, and artificial intelligence platforms. These providers process data according to our instructions and under confidentiality and security obligations.

Nova does not sell your personal data. We only share it with third parties when necessary to provide the service, when you authorize it, or when required by law or a competent authority.

9. Cross-border data flow

Some of our providers and tools are located outside Peru, so certain data may be processed or stored abroad. In those cases, Nova adopts the safeguards required by Peruvian data protection law so that your information maintains an adequate level of protection.

10. Your rights (ARCO)

As the data owner, you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition (ARCO) at any time, as well as the other rights recognized by Law No. 29733, including the objective treatment of your data.

To exercise them, write to hola@novaacademy.com stating your request and attaching a copy of your identification document to validate your ownership. We will respond within the deadlines established by the regulations.

If you believe your rights have not been addressed, you may file a complaint with the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (ANPD) of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.

11. Information security

Nova applies technical, organizational, and legal measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or improper disclosure, in accordance with the standards required by the regulations.

In the event of a security incident affecting your personal data, Nova will notify the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data within the legal 48-hour period and, when appropriate, inform the affected data subjects.

12. Cookies

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies for its operation, to remember preferences, and to measure its use through analytics tools. You can configure or block cookies from your browser; please note that disabling them may affect some Site features.

13. Data of minors

The Site and Nova services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that we are processing data from a minor without the corresponding authorization, we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

Nova may update this policy to reflect regulatory or service changes. The current version will always be the one published on the Site, with its last update date. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
